Kristine joined SGS INSPIRE in January 2018, as a market analyst responsible for Europe and the CIS region. She is an expert in fuel quality regulation and market analysis in relation to the EU, Balkan region and CIS. She has 11 years of experience combined in national policy development; consulting on the EU, Balkans and the CIS countries’ policy and market developments in relation to conventional and renewable energy for transportation, climate change and environment, trade and taxation; and researching fuel sustainability and policy for advanced biofuel promotion.
Prior joining SGS INSPIRE, Kristine was fuels researcher at the International Council on Clean Transportation where she contributed to research on renewable fuel sustainability and policy support. She was Manager on Europe, CIS and Balkans at Hart Energy, where she covered fuel quality regulation, market and alternative fuels. She advised Australian government and Russian Scientific Research Institute of Oil Refining on fuel quality regulation, vehicle and fuel producers on fuel market and she did market analysis for octane enhancer producers.
She started her carrier at the Ministry of Economics and moved to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where she covered the EU energy and transport issues.
Kristine has a Master Degree in Management of International Economic Relations. She speaks Latvian, Russian, English and French.
