Labeling

Under the Fuel Quality Standards (Automotive Diesel) Determination 2019, no labeling is required to distinguish diesel without biodiesel and diesel containing biodiesel of up to 5.0% v/v.

Diesel containing biodiesel of more than 5.0% v/v and up to 20% v/v should be labeled. While this type of biodiesel is less likely to be available at fuel stations, labeling will be required for any approval (see on-road section) for supply of biodiesel blends of more than 5.0% v/v.
