Scenarios for GHG emission reduction from the transportation sector​
On November 28, 2018, the European Commission (EC) published the Communication “Clean Planet for all. A European strategic long-term vision for a prosperous, modern, competitive and climate neutral economy”. The communication is supported by in-depth analysis. The aim of this communication is to present:
    •a vision that can lead to achieving net-zero GHG emissions by 2050 and
    •the European long-term strategy to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change by 2020.
It does not intend to launch new policies or change adopted targets.
The EC presents 8 scenarios that set pathways toward net-zero GHG economy in the EU. These scenarios are compared with the baseline where there are no new targets after 2030. Table 1 de
