Balkans
In the
Balkan region, all of the countries have introduced a 10 ppm limit for sulfur, however, not all of them have introduced the Euro 5 exhaust emission standard. It is still permitted to import Euro 4 used vehicles in all countries except Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2020, we expect Serbia to accelerate a discussion about introducing a tighter standard than the current Euro 3. We do not expect a discussion about CO
2 standards for cars for now.
Turkey is the only country that has been fulfilling its renewable energy share target. North Macedonia and Serbia have set goals, however, they are slow at fulfilling them. In 2020, we expect that Bosnia and Herzegovina could publish mandatory biofuels targets.
