Recent Developments

From mid 2018, Sweden introduced a greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction target for diesel type fuels that drives hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) and biodiesel blending. Before that, biofuels blending was driven by the reduced energy tax. However, in 2020 the energy tax exemption for the biodiesel grade B100 and HVO 100 are due for revision.
