Timeline for biofuel blending

Ecuador plans to increase the volume of anhydrous fuel ethanol blended in gasoline, but imports may be necessary. SGS INSPIRE foresees an increase in anhydrous fuel ethanol consumption in Ecuador in the following years in the Ecopaís grade or the introduction of new grades.

Ecuador may reach a 10% v/v ethanol blend in 2030. By 2030, the demand for gasoline blended with ethanol in Ecuador is expected to reach 4,700 million liters, and the amount of ethanol blended would be approximately 470 million liters per year.
