Life cycle GHG emission reduction target
The Law of August 25, 2006 on the fuel quality monitoring and control system sets the obligation for suppliers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in transport, produced over the entire life cycle of the fuel or energy supplied, per unit of energy, by at least 6% in a given year, compared with the fuel baseline standard of value of 94.1 gCO2eq/MJ.
The sectors applicable to this target are road and non-road machinery.
Measures counted towards the target
The following measures may be counted towards the target:
    •Renewable energy
    •Liquid fuels, liquid biofuels, liquefied gas (LPG), compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG) or ship engine oil inland waterway transport used in transport and renewable electricity
    •Biofuels used in aviation
