Timeline for biofuels blending
Belgium’s National Climate and Energy Action Plan (NECP) indicated two scenarios for renewable energy share target in transport: with existing measures (WEM) and with additional measures (WAM).
1. Scenario with existing measures (WEM)
According to the WEM scenario, in 2030, the biofuel incorporation rate will reach 10.45% (in real terms) or 13.9% (including multiplication factors). During the period 2021-2030, the food-crop based biofuel incorporation rate will be 7%. The proportion of the biofuels listed in RED II, Annex IX, Parts A (advanced biofuels) and B (used cooking oil and animal fat) will develop in line in the table below.
