Quality monitoring

The Department of Environment (DOE) is responsible for fuel quality specifications and ensuring that fuel distributed in Malaysia complies with the mandatory standards.

The DOE routinely collects samples from fuel stations and submits them to the Department of Chemistry for testing. However, the results of this testing are not made available to the public. In the event that non-compliant fuel is found, the DOE will work directly with the related oil marketing company.
