Light-duty Vehicles

Since 2009, Pakistan has been enforcing the Pak-II exhaust emission regulations for light-duty vehicles registered in the country. In January 2025, discussions emerged around upgrading the national vehicle emission standards to align with Euro 5-equivalent levels. However, as of June 2025, the government has not made any official announcement regarding the adoption of new emission standards or a timeline for their implementation.
