Supply and demand
Paraguay needs to import 100% of its fuel. Paraguay’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) of May 19, 2017, established that distributors could import and supply gasoline freely in the national territory in accordance with the enforced technical specifications. Gasoline demand in Paraguay has increased to more than 1,500 million liters in 2024, as seen in the following graph.
