Quality monitoring

There is no fuel quality monitoring system in Paraguay. However, on September 19, 2024, the Government of Paraguay signed Decree No. 2553, which approves the Energy Policy of the Republic of Paraguay to 2050 and repeals Decree No. 6092 of October 10, 2016. Some of the instruments to be developed are:

The state-owned oil and gas import company Petroleos Paraguay (Petropar) has a fuel quality testing service. This laboratory performs periodic inspections of Petropar’s service station network to ensure the quality and quantity of fuel sold.
