The Singapore government will not allow new light-duty diesel passenger vehicles to be registered from January 1, 2025.

From July 2019, the National Environment Agency implemented a maximum limit of 2.0 mg/l of methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl (MMT) and 7% v/v of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) content in diesel sold in Singapore.
