On-road diesel
From January 1, 2022, the updated Decree Nº 1948-21 from July 16, 2021 has regulated diesel quality in Morocco. The key changes from the previous specification (defined in the Decree Nº 3774-15 of November 11, 2015) are related to a reduction in sulfur content from 50 mg/kg to 10 mg/kg, an increase of cetane number from 50 to 51, the addition of new biodiesel content (maximum 7% v/v), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH, 8% m/m) and electrical conductivity (150 pS/m). In addition, maximum limits for viscosity and density, and limits for pour point (PP) and cold filter plugging point (CFPP) have become stricter.
Further properties and their respective limits can be viewed in the SGS INSPIRE specification database.
