The Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport, Logistics and Water and the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Environment are drafting a resolution to update Resolution Nº 2835-10 of December 25, 2010, establishing new vehicle emission standards in Morocco. The Ministries are proposing to implement Euro 6b emission standards for both gasoline and diesel.

The provisions of the decree shall apply during the homologation of any motor vehicle, category M or N, from January 1, 2023. As of January 1, 2024, all motor vehicles from categories M or N will not be registered if the provisions included in the resolution are not respected.

As of January 1, 2025, all vehicles from categories M or N should be equipped with an on-board diagnosis system (OBD).
