Recent developments

•In December 2020, the Shanghai and Beijing municipalities, together with biodiesel producers, issued the B10 (10% v/v pure biodiesel blended with 90% v/v conventional diesel) biodiesel blend association standard

•In June 2022, the National Energy Administration implemented the hydrocarbon-based biodiesel industrial standard, which regulated the quality standard for renewable diesel production in the country

•In March 2023, the Shanghai municipality decided to extend again the B5 (5% v/v pure biodiesel blended with 95% v/v conventional diesel) biodiesel subsidy for fuel stations selling B5 in the city, and the emergency subsidy for B100 biodiesel producers
