Exhaust emission reduction technology

In July 2013, the Chinese government implemented the China IV emission standard, mandating internal combustion vehicles manufactured, imported or sold domestically require to meet the China IV emission standard. This resulted in vehicle manufacturers installing advanced emissions control equipment such as exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), diesel particulate filters (DFP), selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems, etc.
