Recent developments
From January 1, 2024, the gasoline specification GS 140: 2024 -petroleum and petroleum products – specifications for petrol (motor gasoline) came into force. The key changes included the reduction of manganese content from 18 mg/l in gasoline (from the previous specification) to 6 mg/l for regular gasoline grade (RON 91) and 2 mg/l for premium gasoline grade (RON 95). In addition, the sulfur content was reduced from 50 mg/kg to 10 mg/kg for the premium gasoline grade.
