•In January 2021, the Cambodian government put construction of the country’s first refinery on hold due to the financial issues between partners

•At the same time, the government introduced a 50 mg/kg maximum sulfur limit in gasoline, and a plan to reduce the limit to 10 mg/kg by January 2024

•In March 2022, the government adjusted the fuel pricing period from 15 days to 10 days every month. The government will announce the fuel price on the 1st, 11th and 21st of every month
