Non-compliance penalties

In the event of non-compliance with the obligation of biofuel use compliant with sustainability criteria, the operator concerned is liable for a pollution tax of EUR 1,200 euros per 1,000 liters. The pollution tax is calculated by subtracting the quantity actually used by that operator from the quantity of biofuels that should have been used by the operator.
