Alternative fuels and biodiesel, and renewable diesel credit

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) extends and revives income and excise tax credits for biodiesel, biodiesel mixtures, and alternative fuels through to December 31, 2024. It extends the USD 1.00 per gallon (USD 0.26/liter) biodiesel and renewable diesel credit under Section 40A with an additional USD 0.10 per gallon (USD 0.026/liter) tax credit for agri-biodiesel, and the USD 1.00 per gallon (USD 0.26/liter) biodiesel mixture credit under Section 6426(c)(6) beyond their scheduled expiration at the end of 2022. It also revives several credits that expired at the end of 2021.
