Grades available on the market
Currently there are two gasoline grades on the market:
    •Gasoline grade 2 or regular
    •Gasoline grade 3 or premium
In 2022, 30% approximately of gasoline grade 3 (RON 97) and 70% gasoline grade 2 (RON 93) were consumed in Argentina.
Both grades have a ethanol blending rate of 12% v/v as per the mandate. On August 2, 2021, the Law 27640 that regulates the production, storage, trading and blending of biofuels (which replaces the original Biofuels Law 26093 of 2006, which expired in May 2021) confirmed the mandatory 12% v/v bioethanol content in gasoline. The new law will be valid until December 31, 2030 and may be extended five more years.
