    In Myanmar, there is no national fuel specification in place. Instead, the Ministry of Energy has issued specifications for imported fuels that must be followed. In fact, over 95% of the gasoline consumed in the country is imported. This section will discuss the fuel specifications of gasoline sold in Myanmar.
    Conventional gasoline
    In Myanmar, the fuel quality specifications are regulated by the Ministry of Energy (MOE) and published by Myanmar’s National Standards and Quality Department (MNSQD). As of June 2024, the Myanmar government has not established a national gasoline standard
