Lifecycle greenhouse gas emission reduction target
The
Act SFS 2011:319
sets the requirement for a fuel supplier to take the necessary measures ensuring that the greenhouse gas emissions by 2020 amount to a maximum of 88.5 grams of carbon dioxide or carbon dioxide equivalents per megajoule of fuel delivered.
The
Act (2017:1201)
on reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from certain fuels
, sets the obligation for fuel and energy suppliers to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) life-cycle emissions of fuel per unit of energy from transport, by the following percentages in a given year, compared to the reference value of 88.5 gCO
