Biofuels sustainability

The Ordinance on CO2e displacement requirements and sustainability, etc. sets the sustainability criteria that renewable energy must comply with to be counted toward the renewable energy share target set for transport. The same applies to the renewable energy used to meet the life cycle greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction target for transport. The Danish sustainability criteria mirror those set in the EU Renewable Energy Directive of December 11, 2018 (REDII) (see the EU bio-based diesel report).
