According to the Law of August 2006 on Biocomponents and Liquid Biofuels, as amended (hereafter called the Biofuels Law), the national indicative target is the minimum share of renewable fuels and biocomponents that should be blended into fuels used in all transport modes. This is based on the total volume of liquid fuels and biofuels consumed annually in road and rail transportation, by heating value (energy content). The energy content of fuels and biofuels under the national indicative target for 2017-2020 was determined in the 2016 law amending the
