Global EV charging infrastructure outlook – where we stand today & what to expect for 2030?
In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector, many countries are aiming to electrify their vehicle fleets in the coming years. In Europe, with the new Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Regulation, the United States with the Inflation Reduction Act and China, with the NEV subsidy (2009-2022), this shift to electric vehicles (EVs) is accelerating significantly driven by policies and numerous incentives. In addition, the charging infrastructure is being developed and deployed in parallel to support this transition. Currently, China is the country leading with the highest number of EVs, charging points in 2023 as well as their respective 2030 targets.
SGS INSPIRE hosted a public webinar to launch its on the state of the electric vehicle market and charging infrastructure in 2023 and their respective targets announced by 2030.
