Indonesia: Viet Nam company to build 100,000 EV chargers in 2025-2027

In mid-December 2024, Viet Nam’s electric vehicle (EV) maker, VinFast, through V-Green, and Egypt’s Prime Group, through its United Arab Emirates’ subsidiary, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on establishing 100,000 VinFast charging points in Indonesia from 2025-2027.

According to the MOU, the charging points will be set up in Jakarta, Surabaya and Bali before expanding to other areas across the country. The Prime Group will provide the funds, while V-Green will conduct market research, sites selection and operation.
