These updated standards aim to further reduce CO₂ emissions from road transport, setting new targets for 2030, 2035 and 2040. Earlier in April the regulation was approved by the European Parliament (EP). Details are available in the SGS INSPIRE news item, the EP approves HDV emission standards. The next step for the regulation is its signing and publication in the EU's Official Journal.
