On June 30, 2024, the French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy, along with the Ministry of Finance and Public Accounts, approved Order of June 26, 2024, amending the January 19, 2016 Order on the list of authorized fuels for sale. Starting July 1, 2024, fuel stations can sell higher biofuel blends, including B30 biodiesel (30% v/v biodiesel blended with 70% v/v conventional diesel), HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) blends up to 100%, and Superethanol or E85; fuel a blend of a minimum 60% of ethanol of agricultural origin and a minimum of 15% gasoline.
