UK: SAF mandate to be set at 2% from January 1, 2025

Following the second consultation, the UK Department for Transport announced that the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) mandate will be set at least 2% of the total jet fuel supplied from January 1, 2025, increasing to 10% in 2030.

These targets were set by the previous UK government led by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. On July 17, 2024, King Charles delivered the yearly speech to outline the legislative agenda in the year ahead, under the new Labor leadership following the general elections on July 4, 2024.
