EU: new electric and hydrogen vehicle infrastructure announced

Several public and private developments regarding alternative vehicles infrastructure have been announced in Europe in the past weeks.

The Dutch government has issued the Hydrogen in Mobility (Subsidieregeling Waterstof in Mobiliteit, SWIM) subsidy scheme. SWIM will fund new or upgrades to existing hydrogen filling stations, hydrogen vehicles, or the conversion of vehicles to hydrogen (retrofitting).

The total budget for the subsidy is EUR 22 million. The start date of the application was July 15, and the end date is September 6 is 2024. The maximum subsidy per company is EUR 6 million.
