On August 30, 2024, the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) jointly with aviation and oil companies announced the country's sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) Expansion Strategy. Under this strategy, the government established eight measures to support the development of SAF in Korea.
Adoption of SAF in commercial flights from 2024
