On February 28, 2025, Brazil's Ministry of Mines and Energy published National Council for Energy Policy (CNPE) Resolution No. 6, in the country's official gazette. The Resolution retains unchanged the mandatory addition of 14% v/v of biodiesel in diesel sold throughout the national territory. It also temporarily suspends the mandatory 15% v/v blending content provided for CPNE Resolution No. 8 published on December 26, 2023 and in Law No. 14,993, of October 8, 2024 pending a new decision by the CPNE, which was supposed to start on March 1, 2025.
