On March 5, 2025, Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced a set of incentives for the electrification of the transportation sector.
The government continues to push for the electrification of the transportation sector to meet the country’s net zero carbon emissions target on time. As part of this push, the LTA introduced the Heavy Vehicle Zero Emissions Scheme (HVZES) and the Electric Heavy Vehicle Charger Grant (EHVCG). These incentives will be applicable from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2028.
Under the HVZES, the government grants a total of Singapore dollars (SGD) 40,000 (USD 30,027) per vehicle for a zero emissions heavy-duty goods vehicle or bus, including goods-cum-passenger vehicle
