On February 19, 2025, Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) published Ministerial Regulation No. 4 of 2025 on the production and utilization of biofuels. This regulation superseded Regulation No. 32 of 2008 on the production, utilization and trade of biofuels as alternative fuels, which was last updated in 2015 through Regulation No. 12 of 2015.
