On May 5, 2025, the Colombian government published Resolution No. 40192, which temporarily exempts gasoline dispatched from the state-owned company Ecopetrol's Barrancabermeja Refinery from compliance with the sulfur content quality parameter outlined in Resolution No. 40444 of 2023. This exemption is due to certain maintenance processes at the gasoline hydrotreatment unit. This intervention will restrict the availability of some low-sulfur components necessary to comply with the maximum limit of 50 mg/kg established in Resolution No. 40444 of 2023.
