Taiwan: introduction of new SAF standards and progresses toward 2030 blending target

On March 12, 2025, Taiwan’s Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) released updated national aviation fuel standards, CNS 2558:2025 – Aviation Turbine Fuels. The revised standard aligns with ASTM D7566 and ASTM D1655, integrating specifications for aviation turbine fuels containing synthesized hydrocarbons.
