China: China releases draft timeline and key provisions for China 7/VII vehicle emission standards

On July 4, 2025, SGS INSPIRE participated in the 2025 Annual conference on carbon neutrality and emission control of internal combustion power, held in Xiamen city, China. The event brought together key representatives from government agencies, industry stakeholders, academic institutions, emission control technology providers, shipbuilders, and vehicle manufacturers to discuss the future direction of vehicle emission regulations in China, along with emerging testing technologies and emission-reducing components.

During the conference, the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES) revealed the tentative implementation timeline for the China VII emission standards, as well as the draft re
