On August 1, 2025, U.S. lawmakers introduced the Ethanol for America Act, legislation aimed at expanding consumer access to E15, a gasoline blend containing up to 15% ethanol, by updating regulations on labeling and storage requirements.
The bill would require the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to finalize the E15 fuel dispenser labeling and compatibility with underground storage tanks rule, first proposed in January 2021. This rule seeks to simplify E15 pump labeling and update equipment compatibility standards.
