The Department of Energy (DoE) is the governmental entity responsible for ensuring the development, utilization and management of South Africa’s energy sources. It manages the regulation of petroleum and petroleum products, including: fuel quality specifications, biofuel policies and mandates, regulations on fuel labeling, and fiscal policies.
