Conventional Diesel
Diesel quality specifications in Southern Africa are based on the South African standards:
•
The diesel specifications in Botswana and Swaziland are based on the South African standard SANS 342:2006
•
Namibia directly applies SANS 342:2014, as stated in the Government Notice No. 54 of March 9, 2016
•
Lesotho applies the South African standard SANS 342, but there is no legislation specifying which version of the standard is compulsory
