Biodiesel blends

Biodiesel blends are defined as diesel containing biodiesel (fatty acid methyl ester) of more than 7% v/v.

Neither the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) nor the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) has created specifications for biodiesel blends. However, the METI provides special approvals/dispensations for operators of trucks and buses to use diesel with a biodiesel content of more than 5% m/m.
