Bio-based diesel

In recent years, Poland has become self-sufficient in biodiesel production and consumption. There was a relatively small increase of 9.8% in biodiesel production between 2016 and 2021, along with a large increase in consumption. Rapeseed is the main feedstock for biodiesel produced in Poland. Production of hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) will start in mid-2024.
