Peru produces approximately three quarters of the gasoline that it consumes domestically. Therefore, imports are needed. As of May 2023, there are three octane grades sold in the market (RON 84, regular and premium).

Not enough ethanol is produced in Peru for the mandate to be fulfilled; thus, imports are needed.
