Timeline for biofuels blending

SGS INSPIRE estimates a fuel ethanol demand of about 233 million liters per year during 2024-2025, which would mean an increase of about 13% compared to 2023. Fuel ethanol consumption will increase as gasoline consumption and attempts to fulfill the ethanol mandate increase. No second-generation bioethanol is expected to be produced in Peru. No changes are expected regarding the ethanol mandate in Peru until 2030. The only scenario where the bioethanol mandate is likely to be increased is in the possible case of high cost gasoline imports.
