According to the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA), Egypt has a yearly vehicle production of 18,500 units. This number remained stable in 2018 and 2019. However, vehicle sales in Egypt are usually much higher, for example, in 2019, 170,000 units were sold. This means that only 11% of the total vehicle sales in 2019 were produced in Egypt, and 89% of the units were imported.
