Europe: hydrogen as an alternative fuel - policy and market updates for 2021

In 2020, the European Union (EU) set a climate neutrality goal for 2050. Major petroleum companies followed by adopting their climate neutrality goals for 2050. Renewable hydrogen became the “buzz word” in the discussion about decarbonization of heavy industries and the transportation sector around the world. To make it happen, considerable government support will be required. This report examines national policies promoting hydrogen, especially hydrogen produced fro
