Energy Taxation
Law No. 227/2015 regarding the Fiscal Codes allows for excise duty exemption on energy products, if such products are obtained from one or more of the following products (ART. 399, L):
    •Products falling within CN codes 1507 (soybean oil) to 1518 (animal and vegetable fats) inclusive
    •Products falling within CN codes 3824 90 55 and from 3824 90 80 to 3824 90 99 inclusive, for their components produced from biomass
    •Products falling within CN codes 2207 20 00 (ethyl alcohol) and 2905 11 00, which are not of synthetic origin
    •Products obtained from biomass, including products falling within CN codes 4401 and 4402
    •Electricity produced from renewable energy sources
