Supply and demand

This section describes demand for fossil and alternative fuel sales for road transport, including their grades per biofuel and octane in relation to gasoline.

The figure below indicates fossil and alternative fuel supply for road transportation between 2009 and 2018.

During this period, gasoline consumption decreased by 30.3% and diesel consumption dropped by 4.9%, while consumption of liquified petroleum gas (LPG) increased by 47.3%, and natural gas rose by 29.9%.
